How the DAY started...
I have been known to have visions. Through the years I have learned to follow them to see where they would lead. A vision received means it can manifest, so I follow the path.
In early 2008, I was suddenly given the thought, "So many speak about Judgment Day, but nobody ever seems to mention a Non-Judgment Day!"
It was immediately clear that one needed to be created, as a jumping off point for awareness of how often throughout our daily lives we judge ourselves and others.
We seem to judge EVERYTHING - from how people talk, act, dress, live, worship, vote, eat, smoke, work, play, take care of their children, pets, homes, etc., etc., etc.
We judge countries, races, genders, governments, religions, customs, the arts, architecture, celebrities, you name it.
We also judge ourselves - perhaps as inadequate, or inferior, or too sensitive, or not tall enough, wealthy enough, thin enough, smart enough, attractive enough, healthy enough, educated enough, travelled enough, athletic enough, and on and on and on...
We talk about unity and peace and brotherly love and wanting to end wars and about caring for ourselves and our planet and on and on - yet all this continuous judgment keeps us separate from each other and from accomplishing those beautiful visions.
Here is the simple truth. As long as one man or woman judges another, there can be no peace. We cannot heal. Wars will not stop.
Only when we finally realize that we are all ONE with nature and each other here on planet earth - no exceptions - then and only then will we heal the centuries of discordance continuing to tear apart the fragile membranes of our world.
The message was given loud and clear to me:
NOW is the time. WE are the answer.
So I felt a movement needed to be created...and we needed a day to start the movement and stop the judgment once and for all.
In telling my idea to "heartist" and peace activist Dan Koffman, (www.goldenruleactivist.com) , he brought up the important point that calling it "Non-Judgment Day" will only bring more judgment into the equation.
He suggested calling it "Acceptance Day," and I ran with it.
On July 23rd, 2008, extraordinary visionaries, path-showers, and luminaries came together for this very special day...held in an extremely special forest...and lifted our lights and our hearts, brought information needed to enlist change and healing for ourselves and our earth, and rapidly accelerated the power we all have within us to manifest this needed change and healing.
Imagine looking into into anyone's eyes and always seeing a brother or sister you dearly love and accept unconditionally.
Imagine if everyone else did the same.
Imagine looking into your own eyes in a mirror and always saying, "I love you - you are forgiven, I accept you, I am grateful for you."
Imagine...
Join us in the healing - of ourselves, of each other, and of the world.
